首都医科大学附属北京宣武医院(简称"宣武医院")始建于1958年,由中国神经外科奠基人之一赵以成教授创立,是中国神经科学(神经内科、神经外科)的重要发源地之一,也是以神经科学和老年医学为双重点特征的三级甲等综合性医院,后发展为国家神经疾病医学中心(双主体之一)和国家老年疾病临床医学研究中心。编制及开放床位约1,500-1,800余张。

Capital Medical University Xuanwu Hospital, founded in 1958 by neurosurgery pioneer Prof. Yicheng Zhao, is considered one of the birthplaces of neuroscience (neurology and neurosurgery) in China and is a tertiary Grade-A comprehensive hospital with a dual focus on neuroscience and geriatrics. It has grown into one of the two lead institutions of the National Center for Neurological Disorders and hosts the National Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases. It operates approximately 1,500–1,800 beds.

宣武医院在神经科学与脑血管病领域科研产出较强,团队论文发表于NEJM、The Lancet、JAMA、Lancet Neurology、Brain等期刊。医院与美国约翰斯·霍普金斯医院、哈佛大学医学院、德国汉诺威国际神经科学研究所(INI)及欧洲多所大学保持学术交流与联合培养项目,专家在世界神经病学联盟(WFN)、世界神经外科学会联合会(WFNS)及国际阿尔茨海默病协会(ADI)等组织中担任职务。

Xuanwu Hospital’s neuroscience and cerebrovascular research teams have published in NEJM, The Lancet, JAMA, Lancet Neurology, and Brain. The hospital maintains academic exchange and joint-training programs with Johns Hopkins Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the International Neuroscience Institute (INI) in Hannover, Germany, among others; its specialists are described as holding roles in bodies such as the World Federation of Neurology (WFN), WFNS, and Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI).
